I specialize in helping people navigate through tough stuff - trauma, change, grief, depression, anxiety, parenting, and relationship struggles. I have a relational style and enjoy finding the best (research supported) approach for each client’s unique personality and circumstance. 

I have extensive training in working with couples (from premarital to post-happily or not-so-happily ever after), ADHD, and in using expressive therapies.  I believe that people are the experts of their own lives, and will work with you to mobilize your inner, outer and new resources to work toward your highest goals. I also offer faith-based counseling.

My name is Angela Hougas, MSW, LCSW, and I am a clinical social worker, providing counseling in the area since 2019. I graduated from UW-Green Bay with a major in Human Biology, and later went on to complete a masters program at George Williams College in clinical social work.

My interest, education and experience in exercise, nutrition, community, spirituality, and in psychiatric nursing added to my view of people as complex and treatment of the whole person.

Additionally, I have special training in couples work, ADHD, autism and personality typing. 

My training and interest is with adults and I also enjoy seeing older teens, as well as young adults.

The Doctor's Office is a person-centered, cash-based medical provider that does not accept insurance and provides an alternative to managed care that allows for more time, less cost, and flexibility in treatment approach.
